Sculptra®
A poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) biostimulator that awakens your own collagen production — for a natural lift, denser skin and restored volume, gradually and without surgery.
What is Sculptra?
Sculptra is an injectable therapy based on poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) — an ingredient that, over time, is fully and naturally broken down by the body. Unlike hyaluronic fillers, it does not add volume directly but acts as a biostimulator: it activates the fibroblasts in the skin and stimulates neocollagenesis — the synthesis of new, native collagen. The result is denser, firmer and visibly rejuvenated skin that looks natural.
How does it work?
After injection, the PLLA microparticles trigger a controlled inflammatory response that activates the formation of new collagen in the dermis. The change develops gradually over 2–3 months, and the effect builds and holds for a long time — clinical observations indicate a stable result between 18 and 25 months.
Which areas is it suitable for?
- Cheeks and temples
- Loose contour of the neck and décolletage
- Areas of elastosis on the body — arms, knees, buttocks, abdomen
How does the procedure work?
Each session takes about 30–45 minutes. The PLLA is injected into the selected areas, after which a gentle massage over the following days is important for even distribution. Slight redness or swelling is possible and subsides within 1–2 days.
How many treatments are needed?
The recommended course is 3–5 treatments at intervals of around 6 weeks. The exact number depends on age and the condition of the skin. Maintenance sessions after 12–18 months extend the effect.
