Treatment of acne scars
A combined therapy that smooths acne scars and restores the smoothness of the skin — with methods selected individually according to the type of scars.
How are acne scars treated?
Acne scars respond best to a combined approach. That is why, according to the type of scars, we select and combine several methods:
- Subcision — a minimally invasive technique in which the fibrous bands that pull the scar down are released and the formation of new tissue is stimulated. Suitable for deep, "sunken" scars.
- Microneedling — creates controlled microchannels that activate the synthesis of collagen and elastin and improve the structure of atrophic scars.
- BioRePeel — a chemical peel with TCA and hydroxy acids that smooths the surface, renews the epidermis and hydrates the skin.
- Laser resurfacing — precise skin renewal that smooths the texture of the scars and stimulates new collagen.
- PLLA (Sculptra®) — poly-L-lactic acid, which stimulates the skin's own collagen production and gradually fills sunken scars from within.
How does the course of treatment work?
The procedure is carried out once a month until the desired result is achieved. The exact number of sessions depends on the depth of the scars and the individual response of the skin. With each session the complexion and structure improve, and the scars become less and less noticeable. After the procedures, strict sun protection and good skin care are important to avoid hyperpigmentation and to achieve an optimal result.
Advantages of the combined approach
The methods are scientifically supported and widely used in dermatology, and the results are lasting thanks to the skin's natural regeneration. The recovery period is minimal, with slight discomfort for a few days, and the therapy is suitable for various skin types, including darker phototypes.
When it is not suitable
- Active inflamed acne in the area
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding
- Active skin infection or herpes
- A tendency to keloid scarring
